Ηχηρό «όχι» στη διάλυση του ελληνικού πανεπιστημίου από 740 πανεπιστημιακούς και ερευνητές από 50 χώρες - Ανοιχτή επιστολή προς Κεραμέως και Μητσοτάκη
Μητσοτάκης - Κεραμέως το έκαναν πάλι το «θαύμα» τους και συσπείρωσαν πάνω από 700 πανεπιστημιακούς και ερευνητές από 50 χώρες με αίτημα να σεβαστούν και να μην διαλύσουν το ελληνικό δημόσιο πανεπιστήμιο.
Το κείμενο συλλογής υπογραφών που έχει τίτλο «Σεβαστείτε το Δημοσιο Πανεπιστήμιο στην Ελλάδα!» υπογράφουν μέχρι στιγμής 740 διανοούμενοι όπως η Μαρία Τοντόροβα, Τζούντιθ Μπάτλερ, Ετιέν Μπαλιμπάρ, Σλάβοϊ Ζίζεκ, Γουέντι Μπράουν, Χαλ Φόστερ, Τζόαν Γ. Σκοτ, Σούζαν Μπακ-Μορς, Σίλβια Φεντερίτσι.
Πάνω από τους μισούς υπογράφοντες (384) είναι από το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και τις ΗΠΑ. Από αυτούς 138 είναι επιστήμονες, πολλοί εμβληματικές μορφές, στα καλύτερα πανεπιστήμια των ΗΠΑ όπως το Χάρβαρντ, το Πρίνστον, το Κολούμπια, το NYU κ.ά., της χώρας δηλαδή που φέρεται ότι αποτελεί πηγή έμπνευσης για την υπουργό Παιδείας.
Η κίνηση αυτή προέκυψε από τη διεθνή πρωτοβουλία πανεπιστημιακών και ερευνητών/τριών με αφορμή το νέο νομοσχέδιο για την Ανώτατη Εκπαίδευση που, όπως υπογραμμίζουν, υπονομεύει με απόλυτο τρόπο τη λειτουργία του Δημόσιου Πανεπιστημίου:
«Τοποθετεί την αστυνομία στα πανεπιστήμια, επιβάλλει την κυριαρχία της αγοράς στη διάρθρωση προγραμμάτων σπουδών και τρόπων χρηματοδότησης (μέσω μάνατζερ) περιγράφοντας την ακόμη μεγαλύτερη απόσυρση του δημοσίου από την συνταγματική υποχρέωση χρηματοδότησης της τριτοβάθμιας εκπάιδευσης, επεκτείνει τις ελαστικές σχέσεις εργασίας και παράλληλα απο-δημοκρατικοποιεί τη διοίκηση του Πανεπιστημίου» αναφέρουν χαρακτηριστικά.
Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο, οι εκατοντάδες πανεπιστημιακοί και ερευνητές από όλο τον κόσμο καλούν την ελληνική κυβέρνηση «να αποσύρει άμεσα το επικίνδυνο και προσβλητικό για το Δημόσιο Πανεπιστήμιο και τους λειτουργούς του, νομοσχέδιο».

Η ανοικτή επιστολή «Σεβαστείτε το Δημόσιο Πανεπιστήμο στην Ελλάδα!» προέκυψε από διεθνή πρωτοβουλία πανεπιστημιακών και ερευνητών/τριών με αφορμή το νέο νομοσχέδιο για την Ανώτατη Εκπαίδευση που υπονομεύει με απόλυτο τρόπο τη λειτουργία του Δημόσιου Πανεπιστημίου: τοποθετεί την αστυνομία στα πανεπιστήμια, επιβάλλει την κυριαρχία της αγοράς στη διάρθρωση προγραμμάτων σπουδών και τρόπων χρηματοδότησης (μέσω μάνατζερ) περιγράφοντας την ακόμη μεγαλύτερη απόσυρση του δημοσίου από την συνταγματική υποχρέωση χρηματοδότησης της τριτοβάθμιας εκπάιδευσης, επεκτείνει τις ελαστικές σχέσεις εργασίας και παράλληλα απο-δημοκρατικοποιεί τη διοίκηση του Πανεπιστημίου.
Η πρωτοβουλία αγκαλιάστηκε σε ελάχιστο χρόνο από εκατοντάδες πανεπιστημιακούς και ερευνητές σε όλον τον κόσμο. Μέχρι στιγμής (η υπογραφή συνεχίζεται) 740 επιστήμονες από 50 χώρες σε όλον τον πλανήτη ένωσαν τη φωνή τους, καλώντας την ελληνική κυβέρνηση να αποσύρει άμεσα το επικίνδυνο και προσβλητικό για το Δημόσιο Πανεπιστήμιο και τους λειτουργούς του νομοσχέδιο Κεραμέως. Πάνω από τους μισούς υπογράφοντες (384) είναι από το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και τις ΗΠΑ. Από αυτούς 138 είναι επιστήμονες, πολλοί εμβληματικές μορφές, στα καλύτερα πανεπιστήμια των ΗΠΑ όπως το Χάρβαρντ, το Πρίνστον, το Κολούμπια, το NYU κ.ά., της χώρας δηλαδή που φέρεται ότι αποτελεί πηγή έμπνευσης για την υπουργό Παιδείας. Μαζί τους 261 υπογράφοντες εργάζονται σε εγνωσμένου κύρους ιδρύματα του Ηνωμένου Βασίλειου, όπως από την Οξφόρδη, το Κέιμπριτζ, το UCL το King’s κ.α., από τη χώρα δηλαδή όπου το εκπαιδευτικό σύστημα και οι λειτουργοί του βίωσαν πρώτοι και βιώνουν ακόμη με ιδιαίτερη ένταση τα καταστροφικά αποτελέσματα των νεοφιλελεύθερων πολιτικών στην εκπαίδευση. Κοντά τους υπογράφουν πλήθος από επιστήμονες από σπουδαία πανεπιστήμια της Γαλλίας, Γερμανίας, Ολλανδίας, Ισπανίας, Βελγίου, Νορβηγίας, Βουλγαρίας, Δανίας, Ελβετίας, Αυστραλίας, Νέας Ζηλανδίας, Καναδά και Βραζιλίας, μεταξύ άλλων. Την ανοικτή επιστολή υπογράφουν επίσης πολλοί επιστήμονες από τη γειτονική Τουρκία, οι οποίοι γνωρίζουν από πρώτο χέρι τί σημαίνει καταπάτηση της ακαδημαϊκής ελευθερίας και του αυτοδιοίκητου των πανεπιστημίων. Μαζί τους, τέλος, ενώνουν τη φωνή τους δεκάδες Έλληνες επιστήμονες που σταδιοδρομούν στο εξωτερικό, τόσο οι πιο ώριμοι που έχουν πείρα και γνώση των διεθνών δεδομένων, όσο και νέοι που αγωνιούν βλέποντας το Δημόσιο Ελληνικό Πανεπιστήμιο να «κλείνει» γι΄αυτούς ως χώρος αξιοπρεπούς εργασίας και προσφοράς προς την κοινωνία.
Σημαντικοί διανοούμενοι όπως οι Μαρία Τοντόροβα, Τζούντιθ Μπάτλερ, Γουέντι Μπράουν, Ετιέν Μπαλιμπάρ, Φρεντ Μοντ, Χαλ Φόστερ, Σλάβοϊ Ζίζεκ, Τζόαν Γ. Σκοτ, Σούζαν Μπακ-Μορς, Σίλβια Φεντερίτσι, και πολλοί άλλοι ενώνουν τη φωνή τους με εκατοντάδες πανεπιστημιακούς και ερευνητές/τριες όλων των βαθμίδων διεθνώς, και σας καλούν να αποσύρετε άμεσα το νομοσχέδιο και να ξεκινήσετε ουσιαστικό διάλογο με την πανεπιστημιακή κοινότητα στην Ελλάδα για τα ζητήματα της Ανώτατης Εκπαίδευσης. Με διακηρυγμένη την εμπιστοσύνη της κυβέρνησης στα πανεπιστημιακά ιδρύματα του εξωτερικού και την αριστεία, ελπίζουμε ότι «η φωνή των αρίστων», έστω και την ύστατη ώρα, θα εισακουσθεί και ότι θα προστατευθεί το πανεπιστήμιο και η χώρα από τις αναπόφευκτες τριβές και τις επερχόμενες ολέθριες συνέπειες για την υγιή και εύρυθμη λειτουργία των πανεπιστημίων.

ΑΝΟΙΚΤΗ ΕΠΙΣΤΟΛΗ – ΣΕΒΑΣΤΕΙΤΕ ΤΑ ΔΗΜΟΣΙΑ ΠΑΝΕΠΙΣΤΗΜΙΑ ΣΤΗΝ ΕΛΛΑΔΑ!
Εμείς, οι κάτωθι υπογραφόμενοι, είμαστε ακαδημαϊκοί, καθηγητές πανεπιστημίου και ερευνητές από όλον τον κόσμο που παρακολουθούμε με μεγάλη εγρήγορση και ανησυχία τις πρόσφατες εξελίξεις στο πεδίο της ανώτατης εκπαίδευσης στην Ελλάδα. Γράφουμε το ανοικτό αυτό γράμμα, πρώτα απ’ όλα, για να εκφράσουμε την υποστήριξή μας στα σωματεία διδασκόντων και διοικητικών υπαλλήλων και τους φοιτητές στην Ελλάδα, που έχουν εκφράσει την καθαρή και αποφασισμένη αντίθεσή τους στις λεγόμενες πανεπιστημιακές μεταρρυθμίσεις της παρούσας κυβέρνησης της Νέας Δημοκρατίας.
Μαθαίνουμε ότι τα ελληνικά δημόσια πανεπιστήμια – που παρά την ισχνή κρατική χρηματοδότηση έχουν αξιοσημείωτες διεθνείς επιτυχίες χάρη στη σκληρή δουλειά και την αφοσίωση του διδακτικού και διοικητικού τους προσωπικού, συκοφαντούνται αμείλικτα ως «χώροι ανομίας» στα ΜΜΕ που υποστηρίζουν την κυβέρνηση και ελέγχονται από αυτήν. (Για τον κρατικό έλεγχο και τη διαφθορά στα ελληνικά ΜΜΕ, σημειώνουνε ότι οι Ρεπόρτερ χωρίς Σύνορα το 2022 έδωσαν στην Ελλάδα, το λίκνο και σύμβολο της δημοκρατίας, τη χαμηλή θέση 108 στον Παγκόσμιο Δείκτη Ελευθερίας του Τύπου, την πιο χαμηλή μεταξύ των χωρών-μελών της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης και έχοντας πέσει 38 θέσεις εν σχέσει με πέρυσι).
Μαθαίνουμε ότι η κυβέρνηση, παρά τις συνεχιζόμενες διαμαρτυρίες, επιμένει στην προώθηση του σχεδίου της να δημιουργήσει μια ειδική κρατική αστυνομία που θα εδρεύει στα δημόσια πανεπιστήμια. Το μέτρο αυτό θα διαβρώσει περαιτέρω την πανεπιστημιακή αυτονομία και θα διαταράξει βαθιά την ακαδημαϊκή ζωή και τις σπουδές. Παρά τις φιλοκυβερνητικές παράτες στα ΜΜΕ, μάθαμε από τους Έλληνες συναδέλφους μας για την περίφημη επίθεση της κρατικής αστυνομίας εναντίον διαδηλωτών φοιτητών στο Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης τον Μάιο, στην οποία ένας φοιτητής κτυπήθηκε από οβίδα κρότου-λάμψης που εκτοξεύθηκε απευθείας προς αυτόν. Από καθαρή τύχη και μόνο, ο φοιτητής δεν έπεσε νεκρός.
Μαθαίνουμε ότι, μέσα σε αυτή την τεταμένη και τοξική ατμόσφαιρα, η Υπουργός Παιδείας πρότεινε ένα νέο νομοσχέδιο για την ανώτατη παιδεία που για πρώτη φορά καταργεί την δημοκρατική αρχή της εκλογής της διοίκησης του Πανεπιστημίου από την πανεπιστημιακή κοινότητα και αναθέτει τον διορισμό της σε συμβούλια αμφίβολης νομιμοποίησης εξαρτημένα από την εκάστοτε κυβέρνηση. Το νέο νομοσχέδιο (άν γίνει νόμος) θα διαταράξει βαθειά την ακαδημαϊκή ζωή σε κάθε της πτυχή, επιβάλλοντας νέες ιεραρχικές δομές και ανασχεδιάζοντας την πανεπιστημιακή εκπαίδευση ώστε να συμορφωθεί αυτή με τις αρχές της αγοράς και της λειτουργίες μιας επιχείρησης.
Μάθαμε επίσης ότι η Υπουργός Παιδείας έδωσε με την ανακοίνωση του νομοσχεδίου μια ισχνή προθεσμία μόνο δύο εδομάδων (!) για διαβούλευση στην ηλεκτρονική πλατφόρμα του Υπουργείου, και ότι ο πρωθυπουργός σκοπεύει να εισαγάγει το νέο αυτό νομοσχέδιο στη βουλή και να το ψηφίσει με διαδικασίες εξπρές στις ερχόμενες εβδομάδες – παρά το γεγονός ότι η Πανελλήνια Ομοσπονδία Συλλόγων Διδακτικού και Ερευνητικού Προσωπικού το απέρριψε ομόφωνα.
Μάθαμε, τέλος, ότι ο πρωθυπουργός δήλωσε ότι θεωρεί την ψήφιση αυτού του νομοσχεδίου ενάντια στη θέληση της ακαδημαϊκής κοινότητας ως μια από τις μεγαλύτερες «ιδεολογικές μάχες» της κυβέρνησης της Νέας Δημοκρατίας.
Πιστεύοντας ακράδαντα στην ανθρωπιστική αξία και τον προοδευτικό ρόλο της εκπαίδευσης στην κοινωνία, και κατανοώντας τα καταστρεπτικά αποτελέσματα της κρατικής καταπάτησης της ακαδημαϊκής αυτονομίας μέσα από την επιβολή ακραίων νεοφιλελεύθερων δογμάτων στην εκπαίδευση, καλούμε τον πρωθυπουργό και την ελληνική κυβέρνηση:
α) να ματαιώσει την μόνιμη εγκατάσταση ειδικής κρατικής αστυνομικής δύναμης στα ελληνικά πανεπιστήμια και να λάβει κάθε αναγκαίο μέτρο ώστε να επαναφέρει την ηρεμία στα Πανεπιστήμια και να δημιουργήσει μια ατμόσφαιρα διαλόγου με τους διδάσκοντες, τους εργαζόμενους και τους φοιτητές, και
β) να αποσύρει το νομοσχέδιο για την ανώτατη εκπαίδευση που μονομερώς επεξεργάστηκε, να σεβαστεί την άποψη των Ελλήνων πανεπιστημιακών δασκάλων και να ξεκινήσει μαζί τους έναν γνήσιο διάλογο για τα προβλήματα και το μέλλον της ελληνικής ανώτατης εκπαίδευσης.
